Welcome to the CMI Education Institute Web Site

Smiling Student CMI Education Institute, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to providing high-quality education and training for health care professionals, counseling professionals and the general public on topics related to palliative care, mental health, grief and bereavement, serious illness, loss and/or other subjects of interest to healthcare and mental health professionals, and all persons working with those who are grieving and/or suffering from physical or mental illness.

 

CMI has contracted with an elite and well-versed faculty with substantial expertise in their particular topic areas. Our speakers are practicing professionals, so they have hands-on experience working with real people in real crisis.

 

You can find CMI seminars throughout the United States. Many of our trainings are full-day seminars offering about 6 hours of continuing education credit for a wide variety of disciplines. We also offer multi-day conferences featuring more thorough training in their respective areas.

 

Many of CMI's one-day seminars have been professionally recorded on Audio CD's so that you may take advantage of distance learning. Other resources offered include books, many of which have been written by or recommended by CMI faculty.

 

In the near future, we will be broadening our educational opportunities even further to give you greater flexibility and options for learning.

Anger is an emotional state that ranges from mild irritation to seemingly uncontrollabe rage, and can be a response to events that are interpreted through distorted perceptions and unrealistic expectations.Woman Betrayed In addition, anger expression patterns are influenced by a person's childhood experiences as well as one's temperament and personality.

Anger is considered to be a part of our human experience whether at home, in the workplace, on the highway or other daily activities and impacts our interactions with spouses/partners, children, coworkers, friends and strangers. Given the level and frequency of anger encountered in our culture, there is a need to have anger problems considered a center of attention for therapeutic intervention.

This seminar will present a model of treatement of anger control problems that offers a cognitive-behavioral perspective. It will also consider the therapist's countertransference reactions to individuals who ahev anger control difficulties.
