Why Online Courses?
We are offering these video/audio based courses for the many customers who, like you, are unable to attend a "live" presentation of this material. The video/audio course format was selected for our first series of online offerings because they provide the closest thing currently available for bringing a "live" presentation to your computer.
What are the basic steps of taking a CMI Online Course?
Register for the course and receive a Ticket to take the Course (directions below).
When you take the course, simply print the handout, review the slides that include video of a "live" presentation that has been recorded, pass a post-test, fill-out a quick course evaluation and print your completion certificate...all from your computer.

What are the computer requirements?
CMI's Online Course technical requirements are minimal:
- Computer with high-speed, broad-band internet access (such as DSL or cable connection). T-1 lines (common in office environments, also provide you with the broad-band you need.
- Speakers so you can hear the Audio portion of the program.
- Real Player (free software you can download here
 ) so you can view the video portions.
- Adobe Reader (another free software you can download here
 ) to print out a course handout.
- For MOST of these Online Courses, your computer also needs Microsoft Internet Explorer.
How do I register for a course?
You can register any time, any day (24/7) through the CMI web site. Here's how:
- Select the Online Course you are interested in and click "Take Course"
- Register your name and info, and click on "Add Registrant" button
- Go to Checkout and pay for your course (we accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express). Follow all prompts on screen.
- Once registered, you will receive an email from new-cmi-order@cmieducation.org indicating that Your Order Has Been Processed and issuing a Course Ticket. You do NOT have to copy down the lengthy ticket number.
- IF THIS IS THE FIRST TIME YOU ARE REGISTERING FOR A CMI ON-LINE COURSE, you will receive an email link so you can register as a Courseware User. You will be asked for your User Name and Password. Once you are registered as a User, you will not have to go through this process to access additional CMI On-Line Courses.
- You will then be issued a "ticket" to take the course you paid for (via email from administrator@cmi-courseware.360psg.com). This same email will include a link to the course so you can login and start taking your course right away.
How long do I have to complete a course I register for?
You have 90 days from the time you are issued a ticket, to take the course, pass the post test, evaluate and print your certificate of completion.
